All superstars start somewhere… are you ready to take off?Role OverviewThe Manufacturing Engineering intern shall be responsible for:

Working in a dynamic cross-functional team environment involving manufacturing and product development teams, as well as supply chain specialists, manufacturing engineers, and logistics personnel.

Supporting control plans to assure critical features are controlled through the assembly/production process.

Applying technical knowledge to innovate, design and develop processes, tooling, assembly fixtures and procedures.

Organizing and analyzing data sets that outline systemic improvement opportunities.

Developing and validating processes used in manufacturing.

Supporting issue resolution for production and assembly including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking.

Reading and interpreting basic mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.

Education and Certifications

Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science

Basic Qualifications

Must have completed at least 30 credit hours of college coursework by start date

GPA of 3.0 or above is required

Must be willing to work 40 hours per week

Due to federal regulation or contracting requirements, this position is only available to U.S. persons

Preferred Qualifications

PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff or similar)

Industrial robots (Fanuc, Kuka or similar)

Ability to work independently

Results-oriented

Proficiency with CAD (Unigrahics, CATIA)

Proven leadership ability, initiative, and individuals that are self-motivated

Strong presentation skills

Critical/strategic thinking ability

Champion of change and vision

Ability to make sound ethical decisions that drive results

Customer focused

Strong interpersonal and communications skills
