Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely tax returns for our clients, while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Prepare individual and/or business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, etc.)
Interview clients to gather necessary tax information.
Accurately input data into tax preparation software.
Research tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Explain tax laws and regulations to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
Respond to client inquiries and resolve tax-related issues.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and tax returns.
Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Required:
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Proven experience as a Tax Preparer 3+ years.
o Proficiency in Drake tax preparation software.
o Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
o IRS PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number).
