Job Description
Seeking a QUALIFIED, EXPERIENCED toddler teacher ( 2 year old teacher & 1 year old). This entails an individual that has the knowledge and awareness of a child's growth and awareness. Being able to implement a lesson plan, communicate with parents and co-workers, be a team player and on time for their shift.
This position will require interaction and engagement with children. Therefore, you must be physically and mentally able to work with toddlers. We are a very hands-on, active center.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
Must be certified through the DOE (not in the midst of applying for it)
Minimum 1 year classroom experience with the specified age group
Follow all policies and procedures of A.S. Academy of Learning, Delacare Rules & Regulations and Delaware STARS
Be committed to this career choice and rarely absent with on time punctuality
Must be organized, independent, self-starter, creative and mature
Be able to lift 50 lbs., squats, bend at the knee's and hips
Read, Write and speak English
Responsibilities:
Plan & execute a developmentally appropriate lesson plan
Have leadership skills, professional attitude and is a team player
Communication skills with co-workers, families and community involvements
Participate in required training programs, courses, staff meetings
Multi tasker and multi thinker
Energetic, fun and understand the concept of "hands on Learning"
Flexibility
Execute a daily sheet, write incident reports and be able to (learn) portfolios and assessments.
