Live-in Personal Care Assistant
Job Description: Provide in home personal care and support to a family member who is unable to complete day-day tasks due to stroke.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist patient with personal hygiene and getting dressed
Assist with eating and light meal preparations
Assist patient in taking medications
Keep patient’s room clean and tend to patient’s laundry
When necessary, take patient to appointments and provide social support
Keeping records and report to Family Member/Employer

Stamina and an appropriate degree of physical fitness to lift or support patient if needed, transfer-board exp helpful

Minimum Education and Certification Requirements
GED
CPR and First Aid Certified (Employer will cover costs to obtain certification)
Must be Vaccinated for Flu and Covid
Current Driver License
Working Conditions and Salary: Work week consists of five work days per week with two off days, 8 hours per day, a daily split shift 8am-noon and 4pm-8pm, 4 hours free time between splits. 40 hours each week. Must work weekends and be in home overnight on work days between 8pm and 8am. Two weeks paid vacation per year, may take one week after six months. Private furnished room and board provided in a lovely home and community. Use of gym and seasonal pool. Salary range $475-$500 per week increase to $575-$600 after one year. Employer will provide appropriate continuous paid training. Home is located in Millville, Delaware. This is a 1099 position.
