Title: House Manager & Meal Prep Assistant
Employment Type: Part-time (10–15 hours/week)

Compensation: $23–$27/hour based on experience
Requirements: Non-smoker, pass background check and drug test, has transportation
Proposed Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday availability preferred (flexible hours during the day), with emphasis on Fridays to prepare for the weekend

We are a friendly and busy family of four based in Lewes, Delaware (zip code 19958), with two children (ages 5 and 2- in full-time daycare) and two lovable dogs. With both parents working from home, we are looking for a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented House Manager to help keep our home running smoothly behind the scenes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, takes initiative, and enjoys creating calm in the midst of a busy family life.
You’ll be an essential extension of our household — someone we can rely on to keep things moving, lighten our load, and help us focus more on quality time with our girls.
Key Responsibilities:
Household Management & Organization:
-Maintain tidy and organized spaces (e.g., closets, pantry, garage, toys)
-Reset key areas of the home daily, and prep for biweekly cleaning service
-Seasonal swaps: décor, clothing, and linens
-Handle donation coordination
-Packing/unpacking for trips
-Light cleaning tasks: dishwasher, wiping surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas daily
-Support special projects like party planning, guest prep, or home organization
Meal Planning & Preparation:
-Plan and prepare healthy meals 2–3 times/week- including prep for the weekend (avoiding shellfish as there is an allergy in the household)
-Assist with school lunch components (e.g., prepping fruit and snacks)
-Shop for groceries and meal items (Instacart or in-person)
-Clean kitchen and maintain post-meal prep tidiness
Laundry & Linen Care:
-Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry
-Manage bedding/towels and refresh household linens weekly
-Maintain organized and stocked laundry space
Errands & Inventory Management:
-Track household supplies (toiletries, cleaning items, pantry staples)
-Manage Amazon/Target/Costco orders
-Run local errands including returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, etc.
-Handle deliveries, packages, and mail
Pet Care:
-Occasional dog walks or backyard let-outs
-Coordinate vet or grooming appointments
-Maintain pet supply inventory
-Daily vacuuming for pet hair
Vehicle Management:
-Schedule seasonal car maintenance and clean-out vehicles weekly
-Ensure vehicles are fueled and ready for family use
Family Support & Child Assistance:
-Occasional school/daycare pick-up or drop-off (family car available for child related duties)
-Light supervision or back-up childcare when needed
-Support with child-related laundry or errands
Deep Cleaning & Special Projects:
-Occasional deep cleans: fridge, baseboards, oven, humidifiers, etc.
-Organize and refresh garage, mudroom, or storage zones
