The Bridge Electrician is a full-time position that is responsible for independently performing or supervising the electrical maintenance, installation, connection, and repair work of our Movable Bridge Maintenance project with the Delaware DOT (Wilmington and Rehoboth areas). Bridges are mechanical and electrical therefore individuals with a good knowledge of both are well suited for this job.
A suitable candidate will have the following experience and criteria:
Minimum 5 years of experience with maintaining industrial electrical systems.
Experienced in working with electric circuits carrying 60 -600 volts.
Must be able to perform installation of all equipment, wiring, materials, fittings, devices, appliances, fixtures, and apparatus used to operate any DelDOT equipment.
Experienced and proficient with motor controls
Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams
Proficient with relay logic
Proficient with programmable logic controller integration (PLC) (preferred)
Hydraulic controls knowledge and ability (preferred)
Able to troubleshoot and repair variable frequency drives (VFD)
Able to troubleshoot and repair automatic transfer switches (ATS)
Able to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits on large structures
ï Must have Journeyman license.
ï Must have a clean and current drivers license
ï Proficient in speaking, reading and writing English
ï Must be able to past a drug test
