Burris Logistics Class A CDL Driver - Home Daily FULL-TIME $24/hr 451 Fletchwood Road, Elkton, MD 21921 Our Truck Drivers enjoy delivering goods for our customers and daily interactions with grateful associates. This trucking role also pays Overtime and is a "no-touch" trucking role. 4-day work weeks with flexible scheduling are also available. Duties include: ● Transporting and delivering customer goods safely, legally, and on time. ● Interacting in a cooperative and professional manner with other team members, supervisors, customers, and vendors even in difficult situations ● Providing exceptional (WOW) Customer Service by building and maintaining effective communication with carriers, vendors, and internal and external customers ● Monitoring and making an accurate account of all equipment, temperatures, and seal integrity ● Performing and completing pre and post-trip safety inspections ● Safely operating and maintaining equipment in compliance with Burris Logistics Transportation Department Safety & Loss Prevention Program, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA) regulations, and all state and federal laws ● Ensuring all paperwork is accurate, timely, and legible ● Ensuring cargo is properly secured to prevent damage ● An accurate count of the product prior to signing at all shipping locations or designate as “Shipper Load and Count” above the signature on a bill of lading, ensure proper temperature setting on reefer unit ● Operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) only if currently trained and/or certified as required by the position or as assigned by function ● Regular and consistent attendance ● Training and mentoring team membersSchedule - Shift start: Based on route - Shift length: Based on route - Days: 4 day schedulesBenefits - Health, dental, vision insuranceRequirements - Current valid Class A CDL - At least 1 year of Class A tractor-trailer driving experience - Must be at least 21+ years old - Must pass drug screen (cannabis included) - Must pass background check - Can lift 50 lbsAbout Burris Logistics
