Job Title: Electro-mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionThe Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for building, testing, and inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies in accordance with specifications. This role may involve system-level assembly and sub-assembly testing. The technician will work collaboratively within the manufacturing team to ensure high-quality production and compliance with regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:
Assemble sub-assemblies and system-level hardware following specified guidelines and procedures.
Conduct in-process sub-assembly testing of products being manufactured, as required.
Complete Device History Record (DHR) documentation accurately and promptly.
Perform assembly and testing requirements for reconditioned hardware when needed.
Carry out packaging functions in Instruments Manufacturing, as required.
Ensure compliance with Hologic policies including Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO standards, Environmental Health (EH), and Safety (S).
Demonstrate proficiency in using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, torque tools, terminal crimpers, and soldering irons.
Follow written instructions, including assembly procedures, test procedures, and mechanical assembly drawings accurately.
Utilize basic mechanical inspection equipment such as calipers and indicators effectively.
Operate basic electrical test equipment, including multimeters, to support testing needs.
Assist and support the day-to-day operations of manufacturing and service, ensuring alignment with forecasts, regulatory compliance, and Hologic policies (QSR, ISO, EH, and S).
Provide training to new employees and team members as needed.
Participate in the identification of workplace risks and implement controls to eliminate or minimize these risks, contributing to a safe working environment.
Support internal departmental audits of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with Hologic's quality standards and policies.
Perform other duties as required by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in a cleanroom environment is a plus.
