Our goal is to tie academic learning into a practical business setting while fostering professional and personal growth within a student’s area of focus.Over the course of the semester, interns will gain exposure to senior leaders, attend meetings, work alongside mentors, and receive valuable performance feedback.Position Summary:This position will report to the Senior Director of Marketing Advanced Analytics Team. This position requires in depth knowledge of advanced modeling techniques (e.g. Machine Learning algorithms) and coding languages such as Python, SAS, SQL and R.The position will be expected to build robust statistical models from the ground up. All aspects of model development will be expected such as: model methodology and framework design, model data preparation and collection, model segmentation, model building, testing, implementation, model performance monitoring and model documentation. Candidate will be expected to explain model theory, purpose, and results to senior management.Key Responsibilities:Model Development and Documentation

Develop statistical models for applications in marketing using techniques such as Gradient Boosting, Random Forest, Reinforcement Learning, NLP, Topic modeling and other Machine Learning Models etc.

Document model in detail in accordance with Model Risk Management Policies and Procedures.

Work with internal and external parties to have model validated and approved by the Model Risk management committee.

Present model results to senior management and appropriate committees

Model Validation

Perform model validations for other internally built models.

Write up detailed validation reports which show the effective challenge of model design and theory used.

Present findings of validations to senior management.

Perform on-going model monitoring and model testing and update the developed model as required.

Ad Hoc Analysis

Respond to requests for data and analytics needed by senior management team.

Develop presentations and analysis for the support of operational changes.

Education:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

Pursuing a Master’s or PhD degrees in Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering/Mathematics, Economics or other highly quantitative degrees.

Office Presence Requirement:

Available to work up to 40 hours per week between 9/16/2024 and 3/31/2025

In-office presence is required three times per week, and subject to future company’s in-office requirement change

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of modeling techniques (e.g. Machine Learning algorithms) and coding languages such as Python, SAS, SQL and R.

Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills with individuals at all levels.

Excellent administrative skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and web-based applications.

Strong follow through and multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail.
