Here, you’ll join gifted colleagues who make a lasting difference in people’s lives every day.OverviewWe are looking for an Regional Director of Operational Excellence to join ourteam ensuring operational excellence in our branches in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia . This position will directly report to the Region President of Operations and will be the champion of education, training, and delivery of quality.To be qualified: candidates must currently reside in Delaware, Maryland or Virginia (or have plans to relocate to one of those states) and MUST have A minimum of 3 years of hospice leadership experience.Essential Functions of Position

Collaborates with branch leaders on the orientation, mentoring, and other educational activities within their assigned region/area.

Uses the results of quarterly on-site audits to plan needed in-services.

Assists with monitoring of staff's in-service training hours/educational attendance with regards to regulatory/agency requirements.

Acts as resource to assists agencies in meeting and exceeding all applicable regulatory and company requirements, by ensuring the implementation of the company's systems, policies, and standards in readiness preparation for all inspections, surveys, and review, including state licensure, federal certifications, and accreditations.

Coordinates with the appropriate corporate staff, Medical Director, Clinical Manager, and Executive Director or Administrator on a regular basis

Ensures agency can access updated copies of all applicable regulations, statutes, and policies and procedures.

Takes overall responsibility for the clinical services function at the agency including the home, hospital settings, nursing homes, and other locations as requested

Participates in the coordination of all aspects of the patient's hospice care and in the hospice's quality assessment and performance improvement program.

Performs other duties as assigned

Travel throughout Delaware, Maryland and Virginia required - a minimum of 75% travel

QUALIFICATIONS:Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and regulations

Working knowledge of budget development, financial profit/loss process, and human resources.

Ability to work with confidential information

Well organized and confident to work independently, but is a team player

Ability to communicate clearly to remote field, mid-level, and executive staff

Exercises professional judgment and demonstrates good problem-resolution skills

Very comfortable working with multiple online and computer applications

Ability to balance multiple tasks and manage conflicting priorities

Strong follow-up skills

Education/Experience:

RN Degree required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Five years previous managerial experience, of which 3 years is in hospice service industry, is preferred.

About You

Registered Nurse - bachelor’s degree preferred

Five years previous operations/managerial experience, of which 3 years is in hospice service industry, is preferred.

Unencumbered and active RN license in state of residence required if RN
