RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Wilmington, DE that is seeking Java Spring Boot Cloud SQL MQ/Kafka Developers (2 roles) that could led to fulltime employment with client.
Duties Include:
Develop innovative engineering solutions core Java and J2EE; API, Cloud Development, AWS, Core Spring Framework and including other sub-projects like Spring Security and Spring Integration
Develop and automate large-scale, high-performance data processing systems to drive and improve product experience
Developers will design and build impactful telemetry and usage tracking solutions for BI tools to improve tool governance and monitoring
Mature modern data pipeline streams for analytics use-cases
Manage Data resources and build a strong T-Shaped team
Support the data development teams in their sprints for daily deliveries
Identify additional capabilities gaps for data platform to support Models
As a Developer, you will work collaboratively with data scientists, data analysts, product owners and understand the data requirements for models and business objectives
Work with Senior and C-level stakeholders for reporting and influencing vision and strategy
Understand and influence logging to support our data flow, architecting logging best practices where needed
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
5+ years of experience in software engineering or related discipline
3+ years of experience with building large scale big data applications
Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Proficiency in Java, J2EE and Spring framework
Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering big data projects using Kafka, Spark and related stack on premise or cloud
Hands-on experience in HDFS, MapReduce, Yarn & Hive
Has thorough knowledge of Hadoop echo system, including data storage in ORC, resource management by Yarn, security access controls by Apache Ranger or Sentry
Experience in developing software solutions leveraging Test Driven Development (TDD)
Able to tune big data solutions to improve performance
Working experience in Docker and Kubernetes is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
