We are looking to hire a Bookkeeper for our small retail store, located in Merrifield (Fairfax, VA).
Position Description:
Immediate opening for a Bookeeper who is experienced in Quickbooks to do daily bookkeeping, on-site only. Some duties/responsibilities may include: Enter Sales Orders, Vendor Invoices, Payments, Credit Cards, Bank Reconciliations, Post payments to appropriate accounts, etc.
Familiarity with Commonwealth tax obligations and preparing them independently such as sales tax. Manage the paperwork in the office and the mail; and associated duties. Knowledge of the Inventory module in Quickbooks is required.
Qualifications:
Five-Ten years experience in bookkeeping/accounting.
Bachelors degree in Accounting required.
Expert level in Quickbooks - no novices please.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level accounting professional.
Excellent verbal and written skills required.
Familiarity with working with small businesses is preferred.
Schedule:
Forty (40) hours per week minimum during office hours (9am - 6pm, Monday through Friday).

Other: verbal communication with our vendors as well as clients; collecting balance due payments from clients on their purchases; maintain a well-organized schedule and office.
