Job Responsibilities:
-Responsible for processing payroll for multiple companies.
-Respond to field supervisor and employee questions regarding payroll and timekeeping issues.
-Review accuracy and compliance with written policies and procedures and defined Federal and State wage and hour rules and regulations.
-Execute monthly and quarterly reconciliations of payroll ledger accounts for compliance.
-Perform file maintenance for new hires, terminations, tax setup, and banking information in QuickBooks.
-Maintain files, reports, and records.
-Make government payments electronically
-Prepare and file annual form W-2's
-Prepare and file Quarterly 941's
-Prepare and file the annual form 940
-All other duties as assigned and required
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a payroll specialist within 3 to 5 years of experience
-Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
-Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
-Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g., Certified Payroll ) and databases
-Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
-Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
-Excellent communication skills
-High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting, or relevant field is a plus
-English and Spanish speaker is a must
