Our Tax/Accounting and Financial Firm in Silver Spring has a vacancy for 3 PT/FT tax preparers and 2 Accountants/CPA. It is a plus if you are bi-lingual and have experience working for a CPA/Accounting firm. Our office is close to Metro
Requirements:
Tax Preparers
- Have at least 2 years of experience in tax preparation for individual and small business
- Speak, read and write English.
- Have Tax, Accounting or Bookkeeping degree or background is a plus
- Have experience using major tax software. DRAKE TAX SOFTWARE is preferred
- Have great customer service skills.
- Having PTIN and MD Preparer certificate numbers is preferred
Accountants / CPAs
- Have a minimum of 4 years working experience in accounting
- Be able to correctly and quickly prepare Tax forms 940, 941, 990, 1040, 1120, 1120 S, 1165.
- Have good experience in A/P, A/R, Payroll functions, Bank and Account reconciliation.
- Be an expert (advance knowledge) QuickBooks and Microsoft office
- A certified QB ProAdvisor is preferred but not required
- Be able to prepare a financial statement and a budget
- Have a strong accounting background. MD/VA/DC Active licensed CPA is preferred
- Be proficient in installing, setting up, and entering past years data in QB and correcting problems
