Tous les Jours is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Cashier to join our team. This role involves a blend of customer service, drink preparation, and bread packaging. As a Bakery Cashier, you will be a key player in ensuring an exceptional customer experience and maintaining the quality and presentation of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
-Greeting and Engagement: Welcome customers with a friendly attitude and engage with them to understand their needs.
-Order Taking: Accurately take and process customer orders, including special requests and custom orders.
-Product Knowledge: Provide detailed information about our bakery items, including ingredients, dietary restrictions, and seasonal specials.
-Issue Resolution: Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, aiming for complete customer satisfaction.
Transaction Handling:
-Cash Management: Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy.
-Receipt and Change: Provide receipts for transactions and give back the correct change.
-End-of-Day Reconciliation: Assist with the daily cash reconciliation and reporting process.
Drink Preparation:
-Beverage Making: Prepare and serve a range of beverages, such as coffee, tea, lattes, cappuccinos, and specialty drinks according to established recipes.
-Quality Control: Ensure that all drinks are made to high-quality standards and presented attractively.
-Maintenance: Clean and maintain drink preparation equipment, including coffee machines and blenders, to ensure they are in good working order.
Bread Packing and Handling:
-Packing: Carefully pack bread and other baked goods to prevent damage during transport.
-Labeling: Properly label all packed items with relevant details such as product name, price, and expiration date.
-Display: Arrange baked goods in an organized and visually appealing manner in the display area.
Store Maintenance:
-Cleaning: Regularly clean the cashier area, including counters, floors, and equipment, to maintain a hygienic environment.
-Stocking: Assist in stocking shelves and displays with bakery products and supplies.
-Organization: Keep the store organized, ensuring products are neatly arranged and easily accessible to customers.
Team Collaboration:
-Communication: Communicate effectively with other bakery staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
-Support: Assist colleagues with various tasks as needed, including restocking, cleaning, and special projects.
-Training: Help train new staff members in cashier duties, drink preparation, and customer service procedures.
Qualifications:
-Experience: Previous experience in a retail or food service environment is preferred but not required.
-Skills: Basic math skills, experience with cash registers, and familiarity with POS systems.
-Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
-Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, especially in handling cash, preparing drinks, and packing baked goods.
-Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 15 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks. Must be able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
-Language: Korean preferred but not required
Work Schedule:
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
