Job Summary: We are an innovative, dynamic, multi-language immersion international school in Washington, DC. Our goal is to unleash children's unlimited potential, and we do this by disrupting and changing the status quo of the Early Childhood Industry!
These candidates will fulfill the school's mission by collaborating with the Founder to manage instruction. The Role assists in ensuring the staff's professional effectiveness and the student's educational progress. The Role is responsible for specific delegated functions for the total school program as described in the job functions listed below.
Essential job functions:
Supports and upholds the vision, mission, and core values of the school
Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures of the school
Ensures the implementation of a comprehensive Spanish curriculum using a variety of pedagogical strategies
Follow the Founder’s observation schedules, supervise, and assist other Spanish teachers
Ensures that the instruction of students meets the guidelines set forth by the Founder
Assists with student performance assessment and report cards
Maintains documentation of instructional and lesson plan
Communicates regularly and effectively with the team and other professionals
Assists with school newsletter/vlogs in collaboration with the Creative Coordinator and Founder
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree required (international degrees welcome)
Successful and skillful teaching experience
Montessori experience or willingness to learn
Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods/strategies, curriculum differentiation, child development, and children’s learning methods
Able to manage student behavior and work well with others in the school community
Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously, critical thinking, and planning
Must be able to follow directions and instructions
