St. Anthony's Day School is a NAEYC accredited Christian school that serves infants to five-year-old's. It has been in operation for over 25 years. We pride ourselves in having a set of wonderful families and staff members that make it the great place that it is.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team. As a Childcare Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. You will help implement age-appropriate lesson plans, provide individualized instruction, and promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. This can be a Full-Time position working Monday-Friday 9am-6pm OR we are looking for PT 12:00-6:00pm. This person must have a minimum of a high school diploma and must be able to pass a background check. They would also have to be comfortable working with all ages from infants to five years of age. This position would be working alongside the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher to support the needs of the wonderful children and families that we serve.

Some of The Roles and Responsibilities:

- Provide attentive and compassionate care to children in our school

- Maintain a clean and safe classroom

- Create a safe and secure environment for children to explore and play

- Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary to promote positive behavior management

- Assist with feeding, diapering, and other basic care needs

- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities

- Collaborate with other childcare providers to ensure a smooth and cohesive environment

- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or babysitting setting is preferred

- Knowledge of childhood development

- Familiarity with early childhood education techniques

- Spanish speaking is highly preferred

- Ability to multitask, work in a face-paced environment and prioritize responsibilities effectively

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

- High diploma or GED
