For more than 25 years, FAZ Creative Education Learning Center has provided high-quality early
learning experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Our play-based, developmentally focused
environment fosters creativity, curiosity, and confidence in every child.
We proudly implement the Experience Early Learning curriculum, use Brightwheel for family
communication, and provide in-house professional development and developmental screening tools to
support our educators and students alike.
Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate Early Childhood Educators to join our caring, collaborative team. Whether
leading your own classroom or supporting a lead teacher, you’ll help nurture young minds through
hands-on exploration, creativity, and compassion.
This position is ideal for educators who value teamwork, continuous learning, and a warm,
child-centered community.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain a safe, hygienic, and nurturing learning environment
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities using our creative curriculum
Conduct developmental observations and screenings
Support children’s emotional, social, and cognitive growth
Maintain positive communication with families via Brightwheel
Participate in school-wide events and team meetings
Ensure compliance with Fairfax County Office for Children and Virginia licensing regulations
Engage in ongoing professional development and training
Qualifications:
Required
High school diploma or GED
Passion for early childhood education and a nurturing approach with children
Team-oriented, dependable, and flexible
Must pass VA background/fingerprint check and TB screening
CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain before start)
Must complete mandatory VA Childcare Staff Trainings prior to start date (offered at no charge)
Preferred
CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or progress toward one
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
At least 1 year of classroom experience in an early childhood setting
Experience with developmental assessments and early learning frameworks
Background or interest in art, music, or physical education
