Role Description
CommuniKids Preschool is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Teacher for our French program, working Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will hold an Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education. We also welcome international degrees. Qualified candidates will lead and manage the classroom, guiding children through engaging, play-based activities taught entirely in the target language. Responsibilities include planning and conducting circle time, arts and crafts, storytelling, movement, and other interactive activities, ensuring the classroom is a safe, organized, and stimulating environment.
As Lead Teacher, you will supervise classroom assistants, ensure the implementation of daily routines, manage classroom cleanliness and organization, and monitor children’s development and progress. Additionally, you will be responsible for upholding health and safety standards, including sanitizing toys and materials.
Salary is based on experience and credentials. $5,000 Signing Bonus available, paid after 6 months of employment.
Education & Skills
Experience in teaching young children, particularly in a language immersion setting
Knowledge of effective teaching strategies for early childhood education
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and mentor assistant teachers
Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for early childhood education
Fluency in French is required
Teacher training or relevant certifications are a plus
The position offers a competitive salary of $44,000 to $46,000 along with a fantastic benefits package, which includes:
