POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Needed for full time Summer Camps and part time positions year round. Dynamic, bilingual teachers to teach a full range of foreign languages. Classes are for children (ages 2 -12 years) and tutoring for children to adults.
Applicants must enjoy children, be comfortable interacting with adults and have the ability to bring enthusiasm and creativity to each class. Teachers and students are creative, moving around and active! Our program is fun and play-base, creative and you should be too!
Requirements you MUST HAVE for the position:
*Native speaker or Fluent in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, Mandarin, Russian, Arabic, Turkish
*Experience as teacher or any experience working with children OR language, art or music teaching experience
*Musical and Artistic talents towards working children
*Strong group facilitation skills
*Playful and engaging teaching style combined with a positive, warm and charismatic personality
*Flexible and hard-working & Creative
*Not afraid to act "silly" for the sake of a lesson!
*Ability to connect with both adults and young children
*Teachers must have a natural drive to learn and teach
*Reggio Emilia familiarity-a great plus
*High level of accountability and integrity
*Ability to take direction, but work independently
*Ability to get up and down, unaided, from a sitting position on the floor
*YOU MUST BE RELIABLE AND BE COMMITTED TO YOUR ASSIGNMENTS!
*All applicants must pass a criminal and child protective services background check
*All applicants must show proof of their right to work in the US
Other Helpful Qualifications:
*Singing, dancing, or theatre experience: Children or Adult
*Experience teaching young children, desirable
*Candidates with Fluency in any foreign Language are encouraged
*Familiar with Reggio Emilia Approach
HOURS & COMPENSATION: $25/1h class
This is a part-time hourly position. Classes are held seven days a week and your teaching schedule can include weekday, weekend or a combination of both, depending on availability. However there may be a minimum "event" requirement that may include 1 weekend day per month. Your total hours will depend on your availability and skill set for each age group. Ideal for a student, parent or anyone with a part-time or flexible schedule, however we are seeking long-term employees who would like to make a career of teaching young children in an exceptional environment.

-Initiating conversation about our programs and products to families
-Resolve issues on-site, in the moment, with a kind and thoughtful demeanor
-Hosting special events and parties
-Cleaning classrooms at the end of the day
-Recordkeeping, and most important:
-Parents and caregivers are an integral part of our classes. The teacher's job is to facilitate parent/caregiver-child activities. Therefore, candidates must be equally at ease directing and engaging adults as they are working with children
