Electric & Automation New Projects Lead (Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Inc. – Laurel, MD); Multiple positions available. Understand and define requirements for automation design on new Robotic systems and new Automated production lines for manufacturing for better productivity and improvement in quality. Coordinate and lead Electrical & Automation on all new projects, including early-stage design, specifications, scheduling, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), commissioning and project handover to factory. Ensure all automation projects are embedded with the local teams for seamless handover, including developing and delivering training on new systems to local teams and all Automation & Electrical documentation is provided to the factory maintenance team.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in troubleshooting electrical systems up to 600Vac using Multimeter, Megohmmeter, or closely related tools. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: High technology manufacturing lines; Allen Bradley PLC programming from scratch using Studio5000; Allen Bradley HMI programming using Factory Talk; Programming Servo drives; Reading and analyzing P&ID and PFD; and VFD and AC Motors. Experience may be gained concurrently.
