Big Boy Biscuits is looking for a reliable, quick-on-the-griddle Breakfast Cook to join our weekend farmers market crew. We serve up big, hand-made biscuits and comfort food to long lines of biscuit-loving regulars — and we do it fast, fresh, and with serious flavor.
This is a part-time, high-energy position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and knows their way around a breakfast sandwich.
What You'll Do:
-Prep and cook menu items including biscuit sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, and rotating specials using limited equipment (griddles, propane burner).
-Assemble and package orders quickly, cleanly, and consistently.
-Help with setup and teardown of the market booth, including equipment, food, and signage.
-Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards at all times.
-Communicate with the front-of-house team to manage order flow and timing.
-Keep calm under pressure and hustle with a smile — our lines get long and our fans get hungry!
You Are:
-A morning person who doesn’t mind a 7AM call time (coffee helps).
-Comfortable with short-order style cooking and working without a traditional kitchen.
-Experienced in food service or cooking in a high-volume environment (farmers market experience a plus).
-Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather.
-Food safety certified (or willing to get certified).
-Passionate about comfort food, quality ingredients, and making people happy
Job Type: Part-time, Saturdays and Sunday 7AM-12:30PM
Farmer's Market Locations: Westover and Lubber Run (both in Arlington), free parking at both sites
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE
