Summary/Objective
The Barista is responsible for providing premium food, coffee, and service to all guests while maintaining a clean store environment. This role follows the MR RON DAVID CAFE of Service to maximize sales while delivering a high level of customer service. The Barista ensures the preparation and execution of food and beverages and delivers results based on our Key Success Factors: Recognition, Quality Product, Speed, and Cleanliness.
Essential Functions
Recognition:
Communicate and work effectively with teammates to serve guests and achieve goals.
Build relationships and work cohesively with the team to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
Build strong connections with guests, making them feel appreciated by learning names and creating a personal connection to encourage repeat business and provide a daily escape.
Guide guests on how to download and order from the app; upsell and highlight rewards and loyalty benefits.
Quality Product:
Follow MR RON DAVID CAFE operating procedures and processes, including completing transactions accurately and adhering to health and safety measures.
Fulfill drink and food orders according to recipe cards and presentation standards.
Dial the espresso machine in and maintain consistent extraction per MR RON DAVID CAFE brew ratios.
Store food properly and safely, marking items with dates.
Consistently follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen procedures.
Prepare, cook, and assemble food correctly, following standard recipes and accommodating special diet orders.
Follow all procedures and comply with food hygiene regulations.
Report equipment issues or product shortages to the General Manager promptly.
Speed:
Balance high-quality product delivery with speed and efficiency.
Ensure beverage orders are completed accurately and efficiently to meet a 4-minute ticket time.
Prepare food ingredients to support a 5-minute ticket time.
Cleanliness:
Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning routines.
Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
Ensure coffee bar equipment and tools are clean and functioning properly.
Accurately complete store opening and closing procedures.
Consistently meet grooming and uniform standards.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
1+ years of experience as a Barista in specialty coffee, or 2+ years in non-specialty coffee.
Passionate about providing excellent service and making others happy.
