Join us in Alaska for a summer of adventure cooking good food, living close to the natural world, and working with fresh caught Alaska seafood. At Within The Wild Adventure Company, we believe in quality in all things we do and this is especially true in our kitchens. In our award-winning fine-dining kitchens, we prepare our foods from scratch, we use local Alaska products as possible, grow seasonal gardens, and serve innovative and exciting cuisine to both our guests and to our staff.
Chefs in our kitchen are professionals who work closely together as a team to create seasonal menus that are some of the most innovative cuisine being served in Alaska.
We are looking for someone to join our team at Tutka Bay Lodge along the ocean. We have a unique setting both nestled in tall old-growth Spruce trees and ocean. The lodge is set at the entrance to a deep 9-mile fjord within a State Park. Imagine the fresh fish we get here! We have a unique cooking school set upon an old historic crabbing boat at Tutka Bay. Tutka Bay Lodge is located 25 minutes by boat from the seaside village of Homer, Alaska.
The position we are offering is cooking for our guests along with one other cohort. We also have a cooking school instructor, pastry chef, staff cook and a culinary intern on staff. We have a full-time forager on staff who gathers seaweed, tends our garden and brings wild edibles to the kitchen each day.

We are a non-smoking, non-drug and minimal alcohol environment. We work approximately 10-12 hours per day Our cuisine emphasizes global inspiration utilizing local products. The positions run from June 15 to the end of September but there is the possibility to join us year-round.
