Westville, a beloved New York City staple known for its warm atmosphere and diverse veggie options, has expanded from our cozy West Village location to nine bustling restaurants. We are now opening our first location outside of New York City, and we’re looking for an experienced, professional, and dedicated Assistant General Manager to join our team!

As the AGM, you’ll work closely with the GM to achieve our business goals, enhance customer experiences, drive profitability, and support staff development. You’ll implement established procedures while also embracing innovation to tackle challenges effectively. The GM will provide guidance on policies, and any unusual issues will be escalated to higher management. This collaborative approach ensures we operate efficiently and effectively, and we strive to provide a positive and safe work environment for everyone.

We’re looking for team-oriented, professional candidates who are passionate about customer service and can work efficiently. You should have at least one year of proven management experience in a fast-paced dining environment. We’re eager to interview and start training as soon as possible!

Some key responsibilities of the Assistant General Manager include, but are not limited to:

-Demonstrate a high level of understanding of daily operations and be familiar with all staff, the property, menus, policies, procedures, and updates.

-Ensure alignment on operational goals and strategies.

-Maintain a positive working environment and enforce company policies and procedures.

-Address customer complaints or issues with a positive attitude.

-Ensure all staff comply with safe food handling procedures. Supervise food preparation and cooking to guarantee adherence to health and hygiene standards.

-Review all location feedback and discuss insights with the GM and AGM during one-on-one meetings.

-Assist in staff development, including training evaluations, identifying coaching needs, and reviewing performance against evaluation goals.

-Support scheduling and the onboarding process for new hires, including reviewing resumes and participating in interviews.

Annual salary: between $66,000.00 and $73,000.00 based on experience.
