Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
Assist in inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring proper food handling practices.
Contribute to menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal dishes or specials.
Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required.
Skills
Experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant or catering settings.
Proficient knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
Strong culinary skills, with an understanding of flavor profiles and presentation.
Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

Previous experience as a dietary aide is a plus but not required.
