We are seeking talented Prep Cooks to join our team! Must be able to work weekends and nights.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic. We are looking for someone who is energetic and highly motivated and possesses the qualities outlined below.
- 2 years' experience
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and knife handling
- Able to work in a team environment
Responsibilities:
- Following recipes without direct supervision
- Basic kitchen etiquette and safety
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues
- Upholding service preparation and culinary standards to ensure a memorable guest experience
- Maintaining and upholding our company's vision and values
- Demonstrating a passion for details
- Ability to learn, understand, and to execute daily menus
- Preparing mise en place for daily service
- Taking part in pre-service duties
- Performing applicable closing duties
- Accurately handling food items to minimize waste
- Participating in service/culinary education sessions
- Ensuring safe and sanitary working conditions in conjunction with all NYC DOH requirements
