Newly renovated Sequoia located in the Washington Harbour is hiring for the season! We are looking for dynamic servers, bartenders, and hosts who are highly motivated individuals with a passion for food, wine and beverages, and most importantly, superior service. Experience is preferred but hospitality is a must. This is a great opportunity to be part of one of the highest grossing restaurants in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities for Servers include:
- Manage and oversee the dining experience of each guest
- Engage with guests to create an exceptional and memorable experience
- Work as a team player to meet the demands of the restaurant
- Possess a strong desire to grow and learn
Responsibilities for Bartenders include:
- Able to engage guests and make suggestions regarding food and beverages
- Maintain a clean and properly stocked bar area
- Knowledge and passion for craft cocktails and spirits
- Prepare drinks in a timely manner according to the restaurant's recipes
Requirements:
- Prior serving and/or bartending experience in an upscale, high-volume environment
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to remain calm and organized especially during high-volume
- Candidate should demonstrate an energetic and friendly personality
Responsibilities & Requirements for hosts:
- Able to maintain a sense of grace and professionalism at all times and especially during volume
- Strong communication skills including ability to maintain positive interactions with guests, clear communication of guest needs to servers and management
- Knowledge of Opentable is a plus
