Servers and Support Job Description

Silver Branch Brewing Company is looking for a few driven individuals to join our team as both Servers and Support. The Support position is great for entry level workers who are looking to get into the hospitality industry. If you already have a lot of hospitality experience and love interacting with guests the Server position is for you. An integral part of providing excellent service, the Servers and Support must be able to serve beverages and food to guests while also maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for a hospitable guest experience. Candidates with a strong work ethic and those that can move at a fast pace will thrive in this role. Both servers and supports at Silver Branch Brewing Company are main points of contact for delivering warm, friendly, and hospitable experiences for our guests. Candidates must be attentive, patient, and willing to answer all guest questions to the best of their ability while operating with a team-oriented mindset to help their fellow taproom team members. This role is perfect for individuals focused on anticipating guest needs, capable of multi-tasking, and inclined to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly disposition. An extensive amount of beer knowledge or willingness to learn about beer and provide thoughtful answers and recommendations to our guests is required. We are looking for candidates that are devoted to creating an awesome guest experience and that take pride in their work.

Responsibilities

Deliver amazing guest experiences with strong knowledge of our offerings and a welcoming, friendly demeanor

Always help the Manager On Duty greet guests and ensure that all guests feel welcome from the moment they walk in the door

Consistently find ways to create a better service environment through cleanliness, preparation, and organization

Properly ID patrons to make sure they are 21 and over and carefully monitor the continued consumption and overall experience of guests visiting Silver Branch

Proficient in Point-of-Sale software and able to identify / troubleshoot potential issues

Responsible for knowing our beer, wine, cocktails and food menu selections and capable of providing recommendations based on guest input

Deliver food and beverage to our guests in a timely manner while communicating which drink or dish they are receiving; always announce what is being delivered

Ensure guests have proper silverware, napkin, and share plates when delivering food

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

Interest in learning about beer and willing to take the Cicerone Certified Beer Server exam within three months of being hired

Experience working in a corporate restaurant is a plus

Report to work in complete required uniform

Friendly and fun to be around with a strong work ethic

TIPS, TAM, Servsafe, or other alcohol safety certifications are beneficial

Available to work a variety of hours including weekends

Maintain neat and professional appearance

Professional with excellent customer service skills

Possess a high degree of organizational skills to easily locate tables and bar patrons to fulfill everyone’s orders

Meet personal schedule requirements punctually

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time

Must be able to lift 35 lbs via food or beverage trays or required equipment needed to perform specific job duties

Available to work a variety of hours including weekends

Safely move about and transport items to and from the kitchen on a slick uneven surface

Frequently bend, stoop, reach, lift, carry, wipe, and squat as necessary
