Store Manager

Dolcezza Gelato & Coffee is seeking a passionate, responsible, and hardworking Store Manager for our location at City Center, Washington DC.

Our Store Managers set the pace for our shops. They maintain store standards and operations. They are team-builders and mentors. They are problem-solvers and free-thinkers. Qualifications:

Excellent customer service skills.

Proficiency in training and mentorship.

A lead-by-example approach.

Attention to detail.

Adherence to high quality and consistent standards.

Ability to multi-task with ease.

Impeccable cash handling skills.

Proficiency with financials.

Management of labor utilization and inventory.

Great communication skills.

Open to criticism and constantly striving to improve.

Retail/food management experience is highly desired.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Team-building, mentorship, and management of employees.

Lead and direct the activities of the cafe.

Create an exceptional gelato and coffee experience.

Schedule labor.

Maintain standards of operations, customer service, and cleanliness.

Support brand and marketing initiatives within the shop.

Attend regular meetings with the Regional Manager and training staff.

Conduct regular performance reviews with staff.

Be a Brand Ambassador.

Benefits:

$65k/ year salary depending on experience and qualifications.

In 2004, Violeta and Robb founded Dolcezza in Washington, DC. Today, Dolcezza serves Argentine gelato in 6 shops, and 100 restaurants.

Dolcezza produces small batches of hand-made gelato every morning, using the best available ingredients: local fruits, herbs, cheese, milk and cream. Combining old-world methods and a curiosity for innovation, we create an exquisite gelato with a conscience. Most ingredients are grown locally by our farmer friends, who hand-pick their produce at peak ripeness before bringing it to the market the next day. We squeeze the citrus one by one, melt the chocolate, infuse the herbs, grind the spices and roast the nuts, all with our own hands, every step of the way. Creating an artisanal product has taught us to measure time with the seasons and to stay close with our local farmers as they bring us beautiful bounty from their land.
