Responsible for all restaurant dining, catering and delivery. Sous Chef Job Duties/Description
Experience with large kitchen equipment (mixers, ovens, fryers).
Experience with Wok, Asian chopping knives and spice, and Thai mortar and pestle.
Facilitates on-going kitchen management and coordination with current staff.
Ability to create traditional and contemporary Thai sauces, curries and spices.
Experience in Thai Deserts and Appetizers.
Understanding of food standards.
Compliance with all mandated health and licensing by state and municipality.
Oversee and maintain stock levels and ordering of new supplies.
Ensure all equipment in working areas is clean and in proper working condition.
Preps and verifies that all menu items are executed according to our company quality standards 100% of the time.
Maintaining consistent standards of traditional Thai and Thai Chinese food and ability to adapt and develop new Thai modern and American influenced food trends relating to customer tastes.
Ability to multitask and work in confined spaces.
Proficiency in kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ensures and is accountable for profitability of the store by controlling costs of goods, inventory levels, labor, supplies and expenses.
Ability to maintain and organize business records.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine menu offerings, ensuring creativity, variety, and seasonality.
Stay updated on food trends, culinary techniques, and industry developments to inspire menu innovation.
Conduct tastings and recipe testing to maintain quality and consistency in menu items.
Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality ingredients and seasonal products.
Operational Efficiency: Streamline kitchen processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Implement systems and procedures to minimize waste, optimize labor costs, and maximize kitchen output.
Familiarity and/or ability to navigate POS systems, ordering and delivery applications and a general knowledge of technical platforms as related to the everyday operations of the restaurant.
Must be reliable and punctual.
Must be able to work well with others.
Food handlers certification required.
Ability to work in fast environment, and within confined spaces.
