Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Associate Dentist to join our dynamic team at Smile Design of Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for dentistry, a commitment to excellence, and a desire to provide personalized care to our patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a modern facility equipped with the latest dental technology and alongside a supportive team of dental professionals.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including evaluations of oral health, dental X-rays, and assessments of patients' medical histories. Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their dental needs, preferences, and overall oral health goals. Conduct a wide range of dental procedures, including but not limited to, fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals, and cosmetic treatments (e.g., veneers, teeth whitening). Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote optimal oral health and overall well-being. Collaborate effectively with other members of the dental team, including hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, to ensure coordinated patient care and exceptional service delivery. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with practice protocols and regulatory standards. Stay current with advancements in dental technology, techniques, and materials through continuing education and professional development activities.
Requirements:
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school. Valid state dental license and in good standing with the State Board of Dentistry. Demonstrated proficiency in performing a wide range of dental procedures with precision and efficiency. Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care. Effective communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and explain treatment plans in a clear and understandable manner. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to work independently when necessary. Dedication to maintaining high ethical standards and adhering to professional codes of conduct.
