Position available immediately. We are interviewing for a full-time Dental Insurance and Billing Specialist for our busy, digital downtown DC Practice. We are metro accessible to Red, Orange and Blue lines near the K Street corridor.
Required responsibilities will include:
-processing the check-in/check out of patients
-entering accurate new patient information
-verification of patient insurance benefits
-calculating patient co-pay
-communication of patient insurance benefits
- patient billing and collections
-review/audit of patient accounts
-knowledge and skill with Electronic Fund Payments (EFT's)
-front desk administrative duties including patient phone calls
Candidates must be familiar with dental codes and insurance processes including knowledge of appeals process for dental claims. Candidate must have minimum 2-3 years experience with a PPO-based insurance practice.
Candidates must be punctual and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as there is heavy verbal one-on-one facetime with patients. Candidates must be Excel and Word competent and have a general knowledge of internet navigation, email, fax transmission and copy and scanning equipment.
