Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.

Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready for use.

Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.

Manage medical records and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.

Perform basic laboratory tasks, including impressions for prosthodontics.

Monitor and record vital signs of patients before procedures.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, including sterilization of instruments.

Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.

Knowledge of dental terminology and general dentistry practices is essential.

Familiarity with medical coding systems is a plus.

Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Attention to detail with excellent organizational abilities.

Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
