Currently recruiting for a full-time, multi task, medical assistant with front office managerial experience to work in a busy internal medicine practice at our Silver Spring location.
Certified Medical Assistant by American Association of Medical Assistants or Certified Nursing Assistant by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
Medical duties include: vital signs, brief medical history review and triage, EKG, spirometry, assisting physician with procedures and preparing exam rooms.
Office duties include: answering phones, scheduling, entering information into EMR, insurance verification, collecting payments, scanning, ordering supplies, and other admin duties as needed in the practice etc.
Ability to recognize emergency medical situation
5 years experience with EMR. Knowledge of Athena software a plus.
Good organizational skills
5-7 years experience preferred
Good verbal and written communication
CPR certification
