Position Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Business Manager to manage payroll processing, HR functions, and employee timekeeping. This role will be responsible for handling ADP payroll, onboarding and offboarding employees, managing timekeeping systems, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and labor laws.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in payroll and human resources management. This is a part-time role (15-25 hours per week) with a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management:
-Process payroll using ADP, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
-Manage payroll deductions, tax withholdings, and direct deposits.
-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
-Address payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
HR Functions:
-Oversee onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, system setup, and exit processes.
-Maintain HR records, employee files, and HRIS updates.
-Ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and company procedures.
-Support benefits administration and employee inquiries.
Timekeeping & Attendance Management:
-Manage employee timekeeping systems, ensuring accurate tracking of hours worked, PTO, and overtime.
-Review and approve employee timesheets and address discrepancies.
-Ensure compliance with FLSA and company policies.
Compliance & Reporting:
-Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations, wage laws, and HR best practices.
-Assist in audits and reporting for payroll, benefits, and HR functions.
-Maintain confidentiality of employee information and sensitive data.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in payroll processing, HR, or business operations.
Proficiency in ADP payroll systems (or similar platforms).
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, labor laws, and HR compliance.
Experience with HRIS systems and timekeeping software.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
-Certification in Payroll (CPP) or HR (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
-Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
-Familiarity with employee benefits administration.
