COMMERCIAL ROOFING SERVICE HELPER NEEDED
Job Type: Full-time
Starting Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 50 per week
Normal scheduling: 8 to 10-hr day shifts with 1-hr lunch
o Daytime shift starts normally 6AM and ends by 5PM latest (when including 1-hr lunch)
o Must be open to on-call emergencies ocurring weekends and after hours (rare)

OPEN ROLE TO FILL (THE JOB)
We are looking for a Commercial Roofing Service Helper (Laborer)!
Our Service Department is a crucial arm of the company that responds to “on demand” requests such as:
Critical Emergency Response (fire/destruction)
Leak Repair Request (urgency can vary)
Quoted limited size and scope new roof install (retro and/or tear-off with reinstall)
New Tenant fit-out scopes (flashing new equipment/patch and sealing abandoned openings).
Preventive Maintenance Cleaning with Roof Condition Analysis report, among other categories.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This entry-level position sees you as primary help and support for your assigned Service Department Roofing Foreman. In this role you are an understudy and assistant to provide whatever is needed to complete your team’s current assignment as quickly, safely, and efficiently as possible, with all if not most directions given by your assigned foreman.
Examples are as follows (but not limited to):
Aggregating needed tools for repair prior to boarding roof
Setting ladder at appropriate location to board roof and tying it down for safety
Preparing work area while Foreman discusses issues with site contact
Installing actual repairs with actual OEM roofing materials
Reporting to duty upon request of management for off-hours / weekends / emergency calls.
Much more, all under the guidance and direction of the Service Department Roofing Foreman and/or Service Department Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to gain entry to multiple secure government locations we service,
the proper candidate we are looking to grow with will have:
At least 1-year construction experience with shown ability to perform all duties given.
Valid, clean, and current Driver’s License with REAL ID standards
Full supporting documentation of permanent United States Citizenship.
Dependable transportation both to and from work.
Ability to pass random drug screen(s), criminal background check(s), and medical physical(s) upon request. Allowance into security sites may vary per individual requirements.
Ability to perform work efficiently and safely in all temperatures and climates, whether frigid rain, slippery frost and snow or even blazing heat and humidity as part of an assigned emergency response effort for when emergency calls come through.
Minimal required safety gear such as steel toed boots, safety glasses, etc.
o Direction and partial company assistance may be offered for items such as hard-hats and reflective vests if/when required.
Ability to meet physical requirements required to perform all work. This in itself includes:
o Ability to lift 50+ lbs. materials
o Ability to climb 50-ft+ ladders
o Ability to work at great heights while tethered to safety lines and equipment without distractions or distracting others.
Ride long distances when needed and still perform work in top tier quality at all times.
