Field Runner / General Contractor’s Assistant – Residential Construction
Location: Northern Virginia (Fairfax and Arlington Counties)
We are a fast-growing residential construction company specializing in high-quality home projects. We’re seeking a dependable and motivated Field Runner / General Contractor’s Assistant to support our daily field operations. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow within the construction industry and gain hands-on experience in home building, architectural blueprints, project scheduling, estimating, and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel between job sites across Northern VA
Assist the GC with communication, scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
Maintain project records and documentation
Help manage project schedules and follow-up tasks
Track tasks and maintain to-do lists
Accept deliveries (must be able to lift up to 75 lbs)
Qualifications (Must-Have):
Current driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong attention to detail and proven organizational skills
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Comfortable using an iPhone and a variety of mobile apps
Quick learner with a positive attitude
Ability to pass a drug test
