Teya Support Services, is looking to hire an HVAC Focused Maintenance Technician Immediately!
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician with strong HVAC skills to support modular (relocatable) buildings used in federal swing space operations. These temporary facilities require reliable climate control and consistent upkeep. You’ll be our front-line expert for HVAC systems while also handling general building maintenance, documentation, and digital work order tracking.
This is an on-site role located in the Washington, DC / Arlington, VA area. Candidates must live within a 30–45 minute driving distance to respond promptly to service needs and emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
-Primary focus on HVAC system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair—including packaged units, ductless mini-splits, thermostats, and condensate management.
-Perform preventive maintenance and repairs across electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
-Maintain utility connections (electrical, water, sewer) and ensure systems meet code and safety standards.
-Respond to service requests, perform inspections, and document completed work.
-Coordinate with government and contractor personnel as needed.
-Participate in setup and teardown of relocatable units (including steps, ramps, and skirting).
-Use basic software tools for reporting issues, logging maintenance tasks, and receiving work orders.
Qualifications
-3+ years of HVAC service experience; must be confident in diagnosis and repair.
-EPA 608 Universal Certification (or willing to obtain before start).
-General skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and facility upkeep.
-Basic computer skills required (email, mobile apps, digital forms, service logs).
-Must reside within a 30–45 minute drive of the DC/Arlington job site.
-Valid driver’s license and eligibility for federal facility access.
Preferred
-HVAC trade school or technician license
-OSHA 10 or 30 certification
-Experience with modular or relocatable building systems
-Familiarity with federal or government projects
-Have own tools
