The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various equipment, systems, and infrastructure within the facility. The technician will assist in ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for all employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and perform preventive maintenance.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of production equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management.
- Document maintenance activities and repairs in the maintenance management system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members and departments as needed.
- Assist with moving furniture, setting up equipment, and other tasks as assigned.
- Participate in training and continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on maintenance practices and technologies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in maintenance or related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in maintenance tasks.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks.
- Must pass background check.
Working Conditions:
The Maintenance Technician I may be required to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The role may involve exposure to noise, chemicals, and hazardous materials, so adherence to safety standards is crucial.
