The Residential Trash Disposal Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient collection of residential waste. This position involves working as part of a team to safely and effectively collect, load, and dispose of household trash and recycling. The assistant works alongside the truck driver to maintain a clean and organized community environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Trash Collection and Disposal: Safely retrieve and empty residential trash and recycling bins into the waste collection truck. Ensure all waste and recycling materials are handled according to company and local government standards.
2. Safety Practices: Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Monitor the area for hazards and report any safety concerns to the driver or supervisor.
3. Customer Interaction: Handle customer interactions courteously when necessary, ensuring any concerns or requests are relayed to the appropriate channels.
4. Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the truck driver to ensure timely route completion. Assist with navigating routes and identifying collection points as needed.
Requirements:
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. This position requires walking, running, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
