We’re looking for a dedicated and versatile Assistant to serve as the go-to support person for our household needs. This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable handling a wide range of tasks, from personal errands to supporting our daughter’s special needs application deadlines, adapting to daily personal needs as they arise.
Responsibilities
● Household Management: Help in managing daily household operations, such as coordinating with vendors, straightening up, organizing and wiping down surfaces, assisting with shopping and returns, and scheduling appointments.
● Personal Errands and Tasks: Running errands like car wash and maintenance, vet appointments for our three fur babies, submitting health insurance claims, and updating shared google calendars.
● Personal Care Assistance: This includes focused assistance for our high-functioning autistic daughter, encompassing transportation to her programs and activities, helping encourage daily routines, filling out support program applications, and facilitating her engagement in social, volunteer and educational opportunities.
Location & Schedule
● Location: Rockville, MD (in-person)
● Job Type: Part-time, with the potential to adjust hours based on available work.
● Pay: $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
Qualifications & Skills
● Experience: Previous experience in a support role is beneficial but not required. Willingness and ability to handle various tasks, and attention to detail are more crucial.
● Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
● Personal Traits: Looking for someone who is highly adaptable, proactive, and resourceful. High energy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are essential.
● Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and be willing to submit to a background check after hire.
