We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Small Engine Mechanic to join our team at Virginia Outdoor Power Equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining small engines and related equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent team skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Your expertise will ensure that our customers receive high-quality service and their equipment operates smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with small engines and related machinery.
Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of small engine equipment, including lawn mowers, generators, and chainsaws.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in small engine technology.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year mechanical experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for equipment handling.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
