The Midtown Group is recruiting on behalf of one of Montgomery County's largest and prestigious law firms that is looking to hire two or three recent grads with aspirations of law school or breaking into the legal field, but who also really need to gain law firm experience.
Candidates with lots of potential but little experience are actually preferred and the hiring manager loves industrious candidates who did well academically and worked while in school in a restaurant or within the hospitality industry.
Those that are craving their first break into the legal field typically excel in this role for two to three years before heading off to law school. Recent college grads with GPAs over 3.2 who are sharp, flexible, customer service oriented, and reliable will be well received and benefit from a training program that has prepared hundreds of candidates for law school and beyond.
Responsibilities will include maintaining files and data bases, organizing information, performing factual research, developing familiarity with the local and Federal court systems and assisting attorneys with a variety of projects. Ideal candidates will meet the above requirements and be up for giving a 2 + year commitment, have strong initiative, excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, facility with computer applications, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
These opportunities are all 90-day temp to hire arrangements, and qualified candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP. Interviews for all of the above openings start on Monday and our ideal start date is Monday, 6/9/25.
Please note all candidates will be required to work onsite for the first 90 days in Rockville and then will be able to work from home occasionally. All candidates should be flexible to also work in Dupont Circle on a hybrid basis beginning sometime in 2026.
