About me
I’m a semi-retired attachment informed Marriage & Family Therapist with a small private practice serving older adults and families. I also volunteer/pro bono at times. I’m seeking an independent contractor who can support both personal admin/errands and practice operations/marketing, especially marketing.
Role summary
This is a flexible, deliverables based engagement. You set your own schedule and methods to meet agreed outcomes. Work is a mix of local, in person errands (1–2 visits/week in Silver Spring) and remote tasks you can do from anywhere.
Sample deliverables (we’ll tailor together):
Personal support (in person as needed): drop offs/pickups (post office, dry cleaning), returns, organize library of books closets home/office),
Practice support (remote/hybrid): prep/edit flyers in Canva, post events or newsletters (Mailchimp/website), build mailing list/data base of prospective clients and outlets, use Chat GPT to do basic research and create content based upon mutual brainstorming
Ideal contractor
Organized, kind, discreet; steady follow through.
Tech comfortable: Google Drive/Docs/Sheets, email/calendar; willing to learn Canva/Mailchimp/AI tools.
Operates an independent service (can serve other clients; may delegate/subcontract with confidentiality).
Has reliable car/insurance for local errands; can handle small packages (≤20 lb).
Engagement terms
Type: Independent Contractor (1099). You furnish your own tools/equipment and determine your methods.
Hours: 10-20 hrs/week to start; deliverables set in a monthly Scope of Work (SOW).
Compensation: Project based using $30 per estimated hour. Weekly estimates typically $300–$400 depending on scope. Invoices weekly or semi monthly against agreed estimates.
Expenses: Routine business costs are included in your rate; local mileage/incidentals may be billed as line items if pre agreed in the SOW.
Confidentiality: NDA required; HIPAA BAA add on if any PHI could be encountered.
Location: Silver Spring 20906 + remote. Start date: as early as feasible once a suitable contractor is identified.
