You start at the beginning working with experts who guide you to creating our studio-signed creations that are ordered by hundreds of shops throughout the US. Our customers incude the nation's prestigious museum shops, airport stores, art and craft galleries. Our products are loved because they are well made, original, and heartfelt.
We get that we are different. We are rigid in quality but informal in that the studio itself is lowkey. We love dogs and NPR. We care about one another. We care about a healthy work/life balance.
Part time to start while you grow into the job. 10 - 20 hours. Then full time if you want. We are flexible that's why we are favored by college students, those with family responsibilites, another job, or even because you are a lofty free spirit that values time off.
We are an atelier studio. As a beginner - You will be coached in one step of our 12 step process and soon you will get very good at doing that, and then you'll move on to something new. Everyone here is cross-trained. Besides packing, there is screen printing to do, because we offer gift bags with some of our items. Bottom line, is YOU must like doing hand work. Also, you must be able to stand while working. (80%+ of the time.) Other musts: carry a 25 lb bag of clay. walk up a long flight of stairs (the studio is 2nd floor).
No clay training or experience required, just an interest in pottery, and ability to do repetitive work (it's like making cookies).
