Common Threads is a startup apparel manufacturer currently producing masks in response to COVID-19. Near-Future plans are to transition to meeting the demands of the fast-fashion market (on demand design/print/cut&sew of apparel) and on-demand production of household soft goods for interior decorating.
This position is for a seamer/seamstress experienced in tailoring clothes, measuring and cutting fabric, sewing and quality control in a fast-paced production environment. Skills should include:
experience with an industrial single-needle lockstitch machine
experience cutting multiple identical fabric components to a high degree of precision
reliable transportation to Alexandria, VA
basic computer skills
