Prima Home Health is seeking a Temporary Director of Nursing (RN) to provide maternity leave coverage. This non-bedside, office-based role involves overseeing nursing operations for Medicaid clients receiving skilled and non-skilled home health services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and highly organized, with excellent multitasking and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Process and track Medicaid service authorizations for home health clients
Maintain and update Plan of Care (POC) documents, ensuring timely physician signatures
Monitor compliance with Medicaid documentation regulations
Schedule and track field nurse visits, ensuring timely in-person check-ins
Prepare and manage monthly Medication Administration Records (MAR); mail updates to nurses as needed
Ensure all nurse licenses and certifications remain active and up to date
Assist with new patient admissions and onboarding
Communicate regularly with field nurses, clients, and their families to provide support and clarification
Update documentation based on field nurse reports or client condition changes
Maintain and utilize existing organizational tracking systems to ensure timely task completion
Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state of Virginia
Proficiency with Word, Google Suite, Adobe PDF, and email systems (experience with EMR platforms and Excel/Sheets is a plus)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Tech-savvy and quick to learn digital systems
Familiarity with Medicaid home health documentation is strongly preferred
Compensation:
Hourly rate based on experience, competitive pay
Flexible work hours, Part-Time, Monday–Friday
