PURPOSE OF POSITION: Performs a variety of administrative tasks geared toward the goal of maximum occupancy by quality residents and performs other functions as assigned by the Community Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Abides by Fair Housing Laws; provides tours of apartments to prospective residents; runs credit reports on prospective residents; prepares lease packets; inspects apartments prior to showing them; maintains logs of traffic through the property; leases units; provides information over the telephone to prospective residents; maintains a visible public relations’ attitude toward current and prospective residents.
OCCASIONAL FUNCTIONS: Typing and filing property–related reports; may be asked to assist with rent collection, bank deposits, or other general errands; may be asked to assist with resident retention activities.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Required: High school graduation and a sales/marketing/public relations personality Preferred: Some advanced real estate training, including familiarity with the Landlord-Tenant and Fair Housing laws, and prior experience in a leasing position
