Job Summary
We’re hiring an experienced, hands-on Store Manager to lead daily operations, develop the team, and curate a product assortment that reflects fast-moving industry trends. You’ll own purchasing and vendor relationships, keep inventory tight, and ensure the shop runs smoothly and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Training: Train new hires, delegate tasks, coach performance, build weekly schedules, and lead daily huddles.
Customer Experience: Model outstanding service, resolve escalations, and maintain a welcoming, 21+ environment.
Trend Tracking & Buying: Stay current on products and regulations; evaluate new items; manage vendor relationships; place purchase orders; forecast demand; keep best-sellers in stock and rotate out slow-movers.
Inventory & Merchandising: Receive/label product, conduct cycle counts, control shrink, maintain planograms, and set promos/feature displays.
Operations & Cash Control: Open/close procedures, safe/keys, POS accuracy, daily cash reconciliation, and bank deposits.
Compliance: Enforce age verification and adhere to applicable local/state/federal rules; maintain SOPs and training logs.
KPI Tracking & Reporting: Monitor sales, margin, average ticket, conversion, labor %, and inventory turns; share weekly insights and actions.
Safety & Maintenance: Keep a clean, organized, and safe store; coordinate equipment upkeep and service calls.
Cross-Store Support (as needed): Coordinate with ownership on promotions, light social updates, and special events.
Qualifications
At least two years of prior vape shop experience is required.
Managerial/supervisory experience is desired (team lead or above in retail).
Strong product knowledge (devices, disposables, e-liquids, coils) with the ability to educate customers responsibly.
Proven experience in purchasing, vendor relations, inventory control, and POS systems.
Clear communicator with solid delegation, organization, and conflict-resolution skills.
Must be 21+ and available full-time with open availability (weekends/holidays as needed).
Able to stand for shifts and lift up to 40 lbs.
